2010 ILCA Women’s/Juniors’/Masters’ North American Championship Regatta

The officers, membership and volunteers of Metedeconk River Yacht Club look forward to hosting the 2010 Women’s, Juniors’ and Masters’ Lightning North American Championship in August. We have hosted major national events in the past and look forward to welcoming the competitors to the Jersey Shore. Our modern club house, pool and newly built junior building will provide a wonderful venue for competitors and guests.  Normal sailing conditions will provide a light westerly in the morning, dying off and making way for southerly sea breeze that will build through the day. Practice sailing can be done in the river in front of the Club although the actual sailing site will be a 45 minute tow. Our Club is located about 15 minutes by car from Toms River Yacht Club, host the following week of the North American Championship.

Our goals for this event are simple. Put on a first rate regatta with the emphasis on being safe, fun and fair. We’ll have great racing and a fun time off the water. I invite you to join us.
